- Personal Statement (approximately 1000 words)
- Please address (1) Your reasons for the pursuit of graduate study, (2) your desire to study at Claremont International University, and (3) your intended use of this degree in meeting future goals.
- Official transcripts demonstrating the completion of an accredited bachelor’s degree.* (Please submit transcripts from all academic institutions attended after high school.)
- Three Letters of Recommendation:
- Two Academic OR Professional Recommendations
- One General Recommendation
- Application Fee ($50)
- If your first language is not English: English Proficiency Documentation (official TOEFL, official IELTS, or official Duolingo English Test scores will be accepted.) See English proficiency test preferred scores here.
* Under certain circumstances, applicants who do not hold an accredited bachelor’s degree may be admitted if they can demonstrate adequate preparation and likelihood for success in a graduate program. Please contact the Office of Admissions for further information by emailing admission@ciu.cst.edu.
Tuition and Financial Aid
Tuition for the MA in Education is $1,105 per credit hour. Below is the estimated cost of attendance before any potential scholarships or financial aid. Please note, indirect costs are estimated based on current guidelines and do not necessarily reflect that actual costs of every student based on individual circumstances.

Master of Arts in Education
The Master of Arts in Education (MAE) is grounded in process-relational theory of education and offered in collaboration with the Center for Process Studies (CPS), which provides faculty support and intellectual resources. It immerses students in the theory and practice of education understood as a dynamic, interconnected, and creative process.
